Is Jesus Christ Really the Lord of Your Life?

Is Jesus Christ really the Lord of your life? Jesus asks, "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say" (Luke 6:46)?

For Jesus Christ to really be our Lord, we must obey His every command. "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21). Again I ask, is Jesus Christ ̉really the Lord of your life?

Jesus asks you to hear His word. "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock" (Matthew 7:24). "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day" (John 12:48).

Jesus asks you to believe His word. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:15-16). "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins" (John 8:24).

Jesus asks you to repent of your sins. "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye ̉repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3).

Jesus asks you to confess Him as Lord. "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 10:32-33).

Jesus asks you to be baptized. "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:16).

Jesus asks you to remain faithful, "...be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life" (Revelation 2:10).
