You Can Be Saved!!

You may go to a hospital and have a complete physical examination and still have some disease that goes undetected. One’s physical condition can be uncertain. What about one's spiritual condition? Can we know how we are spiritually? YES! We can read and study the Word of God and KNOW EXACTLY what spiritual condition we are in (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:3). When you search the Bible, you will find:

Man’s Condition – A Sinner. "Indeed there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins" (Ecclesiastes 7:20).  "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).  "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us...If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us" (I John 1:8, 10). The Word of God teaches that man is a sinner.

Man’s Need – To Be Saved. The apostles preached on the day of Pentecost to sinners (for they had slain the Son of God, Acts 2:23) saying, "Save yourselves from this untoward generation" (Acts 2:40). While in jail, "at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them" (Acts 16:25). Even the jailor heard, for after the earthquake he asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30). The Bible teaches that sinners need to be saved.

God Provides A Savior. "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21). "And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world" (I John 4:14). Without a Savior, man could not be saved.

Salvation is Available. "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men" (Titus 2:11). "Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved" (Acts 2:47). Salvation is available to man, having been provided by Jesus Christ the Savior.

The Terms and Conditions Revealed. "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:16). Many disagree with what Jesus says. Man (the sinner) wants to tell Jesus (the Savior) what they will do to be saved. Please understand, man cannot save himself, nor can man devise a plan that will bring about salvation. "Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:25-26). Do you want to be saved? Then obey God, not men or the doctrines of men (Matthew 7:21).
