The Son of God Is Not God the Holy Spirit

The Bible teaches that there are three Divine Beings in the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There are three distinct personalities in the Godhead, yet there is but one God.

The Bible teaches that within the Godhead there is God the Son. The Word of God says in John 1:1, 14, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God....And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth". The Word is Jesus Christ, God the Son.

God the Son IS NOT God the Holy Spirit. For in John 14:26 we read, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you". Notice that there are THREE persons referred to here: "the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost", the "Father", and "I" who is Jesus Christ, God the Son.

The Bible also teaches that within the Godhead there is God the Holy Spirit. In Acts 5:3-4, we learn that the Holy Spirit is indeed God when Peter says, "Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the HOLY GHOST (emp LS), and to keep back part of the price of the land?  Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto GOD" (emp LS). Notice that Peter first said that Ananias had lied to "the Holy Ghost" and then says that he had "not lied unto men, but unto God".

God the Holy Spirit is not God the Father. We read just a moment ago from John 14:26 which says, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you". Here we see that the Father and the Comforter, the Holy Ghost (Spirit) ARE NOT THE SAME PERSON

Another example is in Matthew 3:16-17 which says, "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased". Here we see all three Divine Persons: Jesus (God the Son) being baptized of John; the Spirit of God (God the Holy Spirit) descending like a dove; and God the Father speaking from heaven.

In the human family, each member of the family is a human being and bears the family name. Each family member is a distinct person with his own personality. There is but one humanity, but over seven billion distinct personalities. There is but one God, but there are three distinct, Divine Personalities in the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
